Originally an electric guitarist, Bob’s 20-year musical career has seen him involved with many bands and many styles including rock, blues, and jazz. In 1996, he made a radical change by entering the world of flamenco. After forming El Viento Flamenco with dancer Evelyne Benais, the group gained immediate popularity and soon expanded, adding voice and percussion. A tour of eastern Canada convinced them to relocate to Halifax in 2001.

Bob has trained in Canada and Spain with master guitarists Juan Martin, Juan del Gastor, Patricio Tito and Miguel Angél Aragón. He is a dynamic, emotional player who has dedicated himself to the art of flamenco. Currently he works with El Viento Flamenco, Compañía Azul, Los Flamencos, and solo.
