Guitarist

José Vega’s passion for flamenco began 20 years ago in his hometown of Cadiz, Spain. An accomplished guitarist and a powerful expressionist, Jose has performed in the most prestigious peñas and tablaos in Spain, including Peña la Perla de Cadiz, Tablao Cordobes(Barcelona) and Casa Patas (Madrid). In 2006, Jose moved to Canada and since has had international success performing in the International Music Festival of Qatar, the Montreal Flamenco Festival, and the Luminato Festival in Toronto. He has participated in produci tions such as “Mezquita” in Vancouver, “Imagines” in Calgary, and “Spain Meets Canada”, in Saskatoon.

Jose first collaborated with the company in 2010 and has since been working for mayor productions as first guitarist, including the world-premiere of “De España Con Amor” in 2011.
