World Flamenco Day 2024 Recap
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Paul O’Regan Hall at the Halifax Central Library came alive with the passion and energy of flamenco during our annual World Flamenco Day Celebration. The event, presented by Atlantic Flamenco in partnership with the Halifax Central Library, featured incredible performances by Maria Osende, Joyce Saunders, Jaime Hernan Espinoza, Andy Webster, Angelica Lagos, Chris Cookson, and more.
This celebration was made possible with generous funding from Nova Scotia Communities, Culture, and Heritage, allowing us to offer this event for free to the community. Attendees were treated to mesmerizing flamenco performances, live music, and interactive storytelling that brought the rich history and evolution of flamenco to life.
World Flamenco Day is a cornerstone of our annual programming, bringing together people of all ages to experience the magic of this vibrant art form.
